PUPPIES ARE HERE!!

They came a little early but when you see their size it was probably a good thing. The first born was Rose at 2:01 AM and she weighted 16.2 ounces. She is a real sweetheart. She started to nurse and got the whole process going. The next born was Miss Yellow at 15.6 ounces at 2:26 AM and she was quickly follow by Mr Blue, 16.8 ounces at 2:53 AM. Miss Purple came next at 3:05 AM, 16.2 ounces and then Miss Orange, had to have an orange in October. She weighed 16.3 ounces and appeared at 4:05 AM. Next Mr. Red at 16.4 ounces made his appearance at 4:18 AM and Miss White appeared at 5:07 AM and was the smallest at 13 ounces. Then we had a delay. The last pup was the largest at 17.9 ounces and was a male who was stillborn. It is hard to loose one but my great whelper helpers tried very hard to revive him. Thanks Teresa, Bonnie, Bob and Anne for coming out in the middle of the night to lend a hand and heart to help these guys get a great start. Because the pups came so fast it was really nice to have so many experienced hands. Yes, Cheeto got her ice cream and loved every bite. We will all get a good night's sleep tonight!

Cheeto was a pro! She was very attentive to her pups between births and ate her ice cream with a smile. The pups are all beautiful. Mr. Blue was a little slow getting going but then he was all squeaks. Hope all the Firlit's get some rest and thnak you Cheeto, for timing this over the weekend! ~Teresa

Congratulations Marianne and Cheeto on another job well done. I can see that smile on Cheeto's face as she was eating her ice cream. I'm so sorry to hear that one was lost though. Can't wait to watch the others grow and hear about their progress.

HOORAY!!! Way to go, Cheeto! You are such a lucky girl to have so many people who love you and take such good care of you during your whelps. No wonder you've had such great puppies. I hope all of you (two-foots and four-foots alike) get some much-needed rest today. Congratulations, all!!!

Another job well done Cheeto, Marianne, Bob, and all who helped. Aren't babies/puppies suppose to be born during the night? Glad the event went quickly and hope everyone gets the needed rest. Sorry about the last pup, but what a group to be proud of!..Chris

A blue ribbon for Cheeto for pushing those pups out and "jumping" right into her motherly duties! I miss hearing their little wimpers already!!
KUDOS to Marianne and Bob for their wonderful hearts in an invaluable endevour.
