Oxley's New Home
Rob and I are thrilled to have Oxley join our family. On the other hand, I think that Brady (our other yellow lab) is already wondering when the new guy is going home! I'm sure he'll come around though! Oxley did a little exploring in the back yard, but spent most of the afternoon sleeping (as documented by the photos). Hope all the other "O's" are happy in their new homes!

Mystery Solved
The mystery is solved. The Third little girl is going to be living in Michigan with Peggy. Have fun Peggy with one of these gals. All the girls will be close to Paws. It is amazing how they have grown from Day 2 to these big guys in just 6 weeks. Hope the weather is good tomorrow for all of our drives to get these pups at Paws. Be safe everyone, happy travels.

Trip to Paws
They are all happily settled in at Paws. The trip was smooth as they rode in the back of the Yukon with their litter box and toys and mostly slept through the 3 hour drive. Once we got there two kennels were ready with toys, water and a bed. They quickly acquainted themselves with their surroundings and began to play. What a great group. It was hard to say good bye, but I know they will be off to new adventures in wonderful homes. Thank you to Paws for allowing me to help Cheeto with these pups. It is an honor indeed to be part of the process. I will make the trip back to Paws on Thursday to pick up Mr. ?????? I will be picking up my daughter's pup and him driving him out to New York soon.

And Still More Visitors
One of the gifts of all this is has been the gift of hospitality. We just don't drop by like we did years ago when I was a child. Our lives are programed. Kids don't have much free time. The puppies have changed that. People call and drop by and just sit and visit. There have been over 50 people, adults and kids who have taken time out of their busy lives to drive miles to spend time with our pups. Thank you Annie and Mike, Andrew and Ana. Kathleen thank you for bringing your granddaughter Mary Kate. I know you both loved Miss Yellow. That does not count the regulars like Liz, Teresa, and Bonnie who have been here countless times to give their attention to each pup. I will surely miss the pups, but I will also miss all the very dear friends who have given of their time. Thank you Anne, Jim, Robby and Bob who never miss a free moment to play with these guys. I could never have done it with such easy without the support of my great family. Thank you.

Puppy Favorites and Farewells
Bonnie, Greg, Tim and Jeff (on the left) came to say their farewells to these guys. Bonnie has a soft spot in her heart for Lucky, the one she really worked on when he was born. He had tender kisses for her. Anne, my daughter loves the puppy pile that climbs over her when she gets in with them. It really is a pile now that they are 10 lbs, at the smallest, Leprechaun and 13.5 at the biggest, Lucky. Mr. Blue is Anne's favorite. We know one will be coming back to Illinois, Ozzie, but which one? Three more days with us, then Monday the trip to Michigan. Thank you to all the foster puppy families. I know how much work you will put into these pups. How much you will love them and then have to give them back to have some very talented trainers do their magic. I have heard some wonderful things about all of you and it is an honor to take theses guys this far for you all.

Mr. Orange
There are five males. This is Mr. Orange one of the three more light Carmel colored male pups. We know where all these guys will be going and their names, but not who will be where. Oxley will live in Michigan with Allison, Omar will live with Sara in Michigan, Ozzie will live in Illinois with Teresa, Ollie will be in New York with Julie and finally Otter will be in Florida with Douglas. How sweet is this. These guys I am sure can't wait to come to their new homes either. They are ready to run, romp and play.
The Stoplights
These are the three girls. Yellow, Red and Green. Red is in the center and is more tan while Yellow and Green are whiter. Yellow is on the left and is a little bigger than her more tan eared sister. We now know that one of these will be Olga and will live in Michigan with Ellen, Stuart, Rebecca and Andrew. The other little girl will also be living in Michigan with Cindy and Greg. She will be called Orrie. The third little girl's home and name is still a mystery. They can't wait to be in their new homes. I have the best "socializers." Liz came again today to take each one by themselves into another area of the house and let them play with her. Each girl really followed her well as she made her way around the kitchen. They all make great eye contact and snuggle really well.

Puppies in a Basket
It takes two tall laundry baskets to contain these guys so the floor can be washed. We could use one for all of them before. We had escapees today it was yellow and orange. They are loud when they are in there letting you know they want out! Lucky, white, hit 12.5 lbs. Everyone else is close behind.
They are really done nursing. Momma Cheeto nursed them this evening but that will be about it. They can now easily stand and nurse. She wore her shirt when she played today. She is such an easy dog. Happy to do all the crazy things we ask of her. This is our last week with the guys and although I will not miss the loads of laundry or the floor washing I will miss each little face!
